Understanding Intellectual Property

  • Copyright: Protects original expressions recorded in a tangible form, such as artwork, photographs, or literary works.
  • Trademark: Protects the use of names, symbols, logos, or designs that identify and distinguish a source of goods or services.
  • Publicity Rights: Protect an individual's name, image, and likeness from unauthorized commercial use.

Fair Use

"Fair use" might allow the incorporation of copyrighted or trademarked material into your work. However, fair use laws vary by jurisdiction and are often complex. If you are unsure whether your use qualifies as fair use, consult an attorney before using such material on Valleycade.

You are fully responsible for the content you upload to Valleycade. This is reflected in our Terms of Service, and by using our platform, you agree to adhere to this policy.
